(Course Description)
Laboratuvar güvenliği kuralları, temel kimyasal kavramlar, Madde: Özellikleri ve ölçümü, Atomlar ve Atom kuramı, Atomun Elektron Yapısı, Periyodik Çizelge ve Atom Özellikleri, Kimyasal Bileşikler, Kimyasal Tepkimeler, Sulu Çözelti Tepkimelerine Giriş, Gazlar, Termokimya, Kimyasal Bağlar (Temel kavramlar ve Bağ Kuramları), Moleküller arası Kuvvetler: Sıvılar ve Katılar, Çözeltiler ve Fiziksel Özellikleri, Kimyasal Denge ve Prensipleri, Asitler ve Bazlar, İstemli Değişme: Entropi ve Gibbs Enerji.
Laboratory safety rules, basic chemical concepts , Matter: Its properties and Measurements, Atoms and the Atomic Theory, Electrons in Atoms, Periodic Table and Some Atomic Properties, Chemical Compounds, Chemical Reactions, Introduction to Reactions in Aqueous Solutions, Gases, Thermochemistry, Chemical Bonding (Basic concepts, Valance bond and Molecular Orbital Theories), Intermolecular Forces in Liquids and Solids, Solutions and Their Physical Properties, Principles of Chemical Equilibrium, Acids and Bases, Spontaneous Change: Entropy and Gibbs Energy.
Dersin Amacı
(Course Objectives)
  1. Güvenli koşullar altında öğrencilere kimya deneyleri yapma alışkanlığı kazandırmak.
  2. Kimya bilgilerini deneylerle desteklemek.
  3. Temel deney teknikleri ve bazı cihaz kullanım uygulamaları yapmak.
  4. Bilimsel rapor yazmalarını sağlamak.
  5. Günlük hayat ve kimyasallar arasındaki bağlantıyı anlamalarını sağlamak.
  1. To gain ability of doing chemistry experiments under the safe conditions,
  2. Learning chemistry knowledge with the experiments,
  3. Applying basic techniques and using instruments,
  4. Writing scientific reports,
  5. Understanding the relationship between daily life and chemicals.
Dersin Öğrenme Çıktıları
(Course Learning Outcomes)

Bu dersi başarıyla geçen öğrenciler:

  1. Deneyde kullanılan düzenekleri hazırlayabilirler.
  2. Laboratuvar kuralları ve güvenlik hakkında bilgi sahibi olurlar.
  3. Kimyasal denge, asit-baz, çözünürlük hakkında bilgi sahibi olurlar.
  4. Basit organik bir bileşik olarak sabun sentezi gerçekleştirebilirler.
  5. Titrasyon yapmayı öğrenirler.
  6. Kovalent bağ ve molekül şekilleri hakkında bilgi öğrenirler.
  7. Termokimya ve ilkelerini öğrenirler.

Student, who passed the course satisfactorily can:

  1. Prepare the experimental setup.
  2. Have knowledge about laboratory rules and safety.
  3. Have knowledge about chemical equilibrium, acid-base, and solubility.
  4. Prepare basic organic compound such as soap.
  5. Have knowledge about titration.
  6. Have knowledge about covalent bonding and molecule geometry.
  7. Have knowledge about thermochemistry
