Dersin Tanımı
(Course Description)
Yeniden Kullanım ile ilgili kavramlar: koruma, eski/yeni yapı vb.; Yeniden kullanımın yararları: çevresel, ekonomik, sosyal, kültürel vb.; Paradigmalar, ilkeler, sınırlar; Müdahale adımları: işlevsel, mekansal, yapısal vb.; Tarihi, endüstriyel, modern ve sonrası dönem yapıları; Dünyada ve ülkemizdeki yeniden kullanım örnekleri üzerine tartışma ve değerlendirme; Konu ile ilgili seminerler ve öğrenci sunumları.
Conceptual framework: conservation, old/new building and etc.; The benefits of adaptive reuse: environmental, economic, social, cultural, etc.; The paradigms and principles in adaptive reuse; The building stock of adaptive reuse: historic, industrial, modern and contemporary buildings; The evaluations and discussions related to adaptive reusing in design through which the examples are both in Turkey and in the world; related seminars with the subject and students’ presentations.
Dersin Amacı
(Course Objectives)

Bu dersin amacı;

  1. Yeniden kullanım konusundaki terminolojiyi öğrenmek,
  2. Binalara uygun işlev seçimini etkileyen faktörler ve müdahale adımları hakkında bilgi sahibi olmak,
  3. Dünyada ve ülkemizdeki yeniden kullanım uygulamalarını tanımak,
  4. Yeniden kullanım konusunda, örnekler üzerinden analiz, yorumlama ve tartışma yapmak.

Course aims;

  1. To learn related concept in adaptive reuse,
  2. To grasp the factors which effects the appropriate functioning to the existing buildings and to get knowledge related to implementation stages on them.
  3. To know the examples related to adaptive reusing in design both from Turkey and the World
  4. To make discussions and evaluations related to the examples of adaptive reusing.

(Course Learning Outcomes)

Bu dersi başarı ile tamamlayan öğrenciler aşağıdaki bilgi, beceri ve yetkinlikleri kazanırlar:

  1. Yeniden kullanım konusunda teorik altyapıya sahip olma ve uygulama becerisi,
  2. Eleştirel düşünme ve ifade becerisi,
  3. Disiplinlerarası etkileşimi kavrama yetkinliği,
  4. Tarihi-Endüstriyel-Modern ve Sonrası dönem yapıları hakkında bilgilenme,
  5. Örnekler üzerinden analiz ve yorumlama bilgi ve becerisi.

Students who successfully pass this course gain the following knowledge, skills and competencies;

  1. The ability and knowledge the issues related to the adaptive reuse both theoretically and practically,
  2. The ability of critical thinking and debate,
  3. The competency of grasping interdisciplinary interaction,
  4. The knowledge of the historic, industrial, modern and contemporary buildings as periodically,
  5. The ability and knowledge the analysis and evaluations based on the related examples.
