(Course Description)
Prehistorik çağdan ondördüncü yüzyıla kadar tarihsel süreçte dünyadaki uygarlıkların mekana farklı yaklaşımlarının örnekler üzerinden ele alınması; terminoloji ve kuramsal arka plan; karşılaşmalar ve etkileşim; iç mimarlık tarihinde gelenekler, süreklilikler ve kırılmalar.
Dealing with different approaches of world civilizations to “space” through examples (from prehistoric ages to fourteenth century); terminology and theory, encounters; traditions in the history of interior design, continuity and discontinuity.
Dersin Amacı
(Course Objectives)

Bu dersin amacı;

  1. Farklı uygarlıkların mekan anlayışlarını târihî, sosyal, kültürel, ekonomik ve ideolojik etkenler bağlamında irdelemek;
  2. Seçilen örnekleri bütünden detaya, iç mekan bileşenleri ile ilişkilendirerek incelemek,
  3. Farklı uygarlıklara ait mekan örneklerini karşılaştırmalı olarak analiz etmek ve değerlendirmek,
  4. İncelenen örnekleri kavramsal arkaplan ve kuram bağlamında sorgulamak,

Course aims;

  1. Examining the sense of space of different civilizations in the social, cultural, economic and ideological context,
  2. Examining the selected samples from whole to detail by relating them with their interior components
  3. Assesing and analyzing samples of space belonging different civilizations
  4. To question the examined samples in the context of conceptual background and theories
Dersin Öğrenme Çıktıları
(Course Learning Outcomes)

Bu dersi başarıyla tamamlayan öğrenciler aşağıdaki bilgi, beceri ve yetkinlikleri kazanır;

  1. Mekanı biçimlendiren coğrafi, tarihsel, sosyo-kültürel, ideolojik, politik, ekonomik ve dînî değişkenlerin rolü hakkında bilgi,
  2. Tarihi süreç içerisinde, farklı uygarlıklara ait seçilmiş mekan örneklerini, iç mimari bileşenler bağlamında değerlendirme bilgi ve becerisi,
  3. Mimarlık-iç mimarlık ortamını/kuramlarını oluşturan düşünsel arkaplanı sorgulama becerisi,
  4. İlgili konularda araştırma yapma becerisi becerilerini kazanır.

Students completing this course gain the skills of;

  1. the role of geographical, historical, socio-cultural, ideological, political, economic and religious variables which form the space
  2. the ability to assess the selected samples of ʺspaceʺ samples from different civilizations through out the history, in the context of interior architectural components
  3. capacity of questioning the intellectual background which shape the architectural interior architectural environment and theories
  4. the ability to make research on related topics
