İç mekan ve kullanıcı bağlamında mobilya kavramı; dönem mobilyalarının tasarım, üretim, estetik ve anlam gibi başlıklarda değerlendirilmesi; eylem-mobilya ilişkisinin ergonomi ve antropometri bağlamında ele alınması; mobilyada strüktür, malzeme ve bitirmeler, birleşim detayları, mobilya donanım ve aksesuarları; üretim teknikleri; mobilya tasarım-üretim süreçlerinin eleştirisi; sürdürülebilirlik bağlamında mobilya; mobilyada üretim-montaj süreci; boyutsal koordinasyon. | |||||
| Understanding furniture in the context of space and user; reviewing an existing furniture under the topics of design, production, aesthetic and meaning; understanding correlation of activities and furnitures in the context of ergonomy and antropometry; structure, materials, finishings, junction techniques, accesories of furnitures; production techniques; critique of the design and production process; maintenance; process of production and mounting; proportional coordination. | ||||||

Bu dersin amacı; 1. Mobilya tasarımında iç mekan ve kullanıcı ilişkilerinin incelenmesi 2. Tasarım üretim sürecinin anlaşılması; çağdaş gereksinimler ve teknolojiler bağlamında yeniden değerlendirilmesi 3. Malzeme, bitiş ve birleştirme tekniklerinin araştırılması 4. Güncel üretim teknikleri ve tasarımcının sürdürülebilirlik kapsamındaki rolü 5. Mobilya üretiminde ifadelendirme teknikleri, prototip ve/veya model

| The objectives of this course are; 1. To analyze space and user interaction to design furniture. 2. To understand the processes of design and production; to review the comtemporary requirements and technology 3. To search for materials, finishings and junction techniques 4. Contemporary and traditional production techniques and the role of furniture designers for sustainability 5. Drawing and presentation techniques, prototype or/and model making | ||||||

Bu dersi başarıyla tamamlayan öğrenciler aşağıdaki bilgi, beceri ve yetkinlikleri kazanırlar: I. İç mekanda insan faktörünü ve eylemlerini kavrama becerisi. II. Ergonomi, malzeme ve konfor ilişkisini anlama becerisi III. Farklı zaman dilimlerindeki mobilya tasarımı anlayışı, malzeme bilgisi ve üretim biçimleri bilgisi IV. Mobilya malzemeleri, bileşenleri, sistemleri ve teknolojilerine ilişkin bilgi edinme ve tasarıma aktarma becerisi V. Mekan mobilya ilişkisini sorgulama ve kurgulama yetkinliği VI. | Students who successfully pass this course gain the following knowledge, skills and competencies; I. The ability of understanding human factor and its actions in an interior space II. The ability of understanding the relations between the ergonomy, material and comfort III. The knowledge of the past trends of furniture design, material knowledge and production techniques IV. The knowledge of furniture materials, fittings, systems and techniques and the ability of using this knowledge to design V. The ability of analyzing furniture-space relation and setting this relation VI. The knowledge of culture and aesthetic of furniture design VII.
