Bu dersin amacı;

1. Öğrencileri iç mimari tasarım stüdyolarına ve sürecine hazırlamak
2. İç mimari çevre kavramı, iç mimarın kimliği ve iç mimarlık mesleğinin kapsamını tanımlamak, iç mimarlığın mimarlık ve diğer disiplinler ile olan ilişkilerini tartışmak
3. İşlev, biçim ve teknoloji kavramlarını mekan ve insan ilişkileri anlamında irdelemek
4. İç mimari tasarım sürecini ve metodolojilerini tanıtmak ve tanımlamak
5. Geziler, uygulamalar, seminer ve sunumlar aracılığı ile öğrencilere deneyim kazandırmak

Course aims;

1. Preparing the students for the interior architectural design studio and its process
2. Defining interior environment, interior architect’s identity and scope of interior architecture, discussing relations of interior architecture with architecture and the other disciplines
3. Examining concepts of function, form and technology in sense of space and user interrelation
4. Introducing and defining the interior architectural design process and methodologies
5. Providing students to gain experience by means of site visits, tutorials, seminars and presentations

Bu dersi başarıyla tamamlayan öğrenciler aşağıdaki bilgi, beceri ve yetkinlikleri kazanırlar:

1. İç mimari çevre, iç mimarın görev ve sorumlulukları, iç mimarlık mesleğinin kapsamı ile ilgili bilgi,
2. İç mimarlık mesleği uygulamalarında diğer disiplinlerle ortak çalışma konusunda bilgi ve beceri,
3. İç mekan tasarım alanları, problemleri ve kavramları ile ilgili bilgi,
4. İç mekan tasarım süreci ve metodolojileri hakkında bilgi,
5. İç mekan bileşenleri ve mekan-insan ilişkilerine yönelik bilgi,
6. İç mimari çevreyi, işlev, biçim ve teknoloji bağlamında değerlendirme bilgi ve becerisi,
7. Geziler, uygulamalar ve sunumlar aracılığı ile kazandıkları bilgiyi tasarım sürecine yansıtma yetkinliği
8. Genel ve mesleki etik bilgisi

Students who successfully pass this course gain the following knowledge, skills and competencies;

1. Knowledge about interior environment, missions and responsibilities of an interior architect, scope of interior architecture,
2. Knowledge about and ability of collaboration with the other disciplines in application of interior architecture,
3. Knowledge about fields, problems and concepts of interior space design,
4. Knowledge about process and methodologies of interior space design,
5. Knowledge about the components of interior space and space-user interrelation,
6. Knowledge about and ability of evaluation of interior environment in the framework of function, form and technology,
7. Skill on associating the gained knowledge with the design process by means of site visits, tutorials and presentations
8. Knowledge about general and field specific ethics
