Bu dersin amacı;

1. Seçilen bir dönem ve şehir örneği üzerinden kültür-mekan etkileşimini farklı ölçeklerde irdelemek
2. Mekan üretimi ve kullanımını etkileyen faktörleri anlamak ve değerlendirmek
3. Toplumsal aidiyetin kent ve mimarlık algısı üzerindeki etkilerini incelemek
4. Mekanları, yaratıldıkları dönemdeki ortam, kullanıcı ve fonksiyon göz önünde tutarak değerlendirmek

Course aims;

1. To examine the culture-space on at different scales via a chosen period and a chosen city
2. To evaluate and understand the factors that affect the production use of space
3. To examine the effects of social belonging on the city and architecture perception
4. To evaluate the spaces considering the original user function and the atmosphere of the period

Bu dersi başarı ile tamamlayan öğrenciler aşağıdaki bilgi, beceri ve yetkinlikleri kazanırlar.

1. Bir kentin farklı bir zaman aralığındaki sosyal ve fiziksel durumu ile kullanıcıları,
2. Farklı bir dönemde inşa edilmiş binaları, üretildikleri günün tarihsel, ideolojik, politik, ekonomik ve sosyal koşullarını, kullanıcılarını göz önüne alarak değerlendirme,
3. Mekan özelliklerini kaybederek günümüze ulaşan tarihi yapıların özgün biçimlenişlerine dair fikir yürütme, modelleme ve araştırma yapma,
4. Mimarlık, iç mekan tasarımı, bezeme, mobilya, tekstil vd. arasındaki ortak tasarım dilini ve tüm bunların sosyopolitik ve kültürel ortamla olan ilişkisi,
5. Bir konuya farklı pek çok perspektiften bakma, bu konu hakkında çok yönlü araştırma yapma

Students who successfully pass this course gain the following knowledge, skills and competencies.

1. The social and physical state of a city in a chosen time frame
2. Evaluating the buildings that were built in different periods, considering the historical, ideological, economic, social conditions of the time that it was built and the original users
3. Making research for reconstructing the historical buildings that has lost their original spatial qualities
4. The common design vocabulary between architecture, interior design, ornament, furniture, textile etc. and the relations between all of them and the sociopolitical and cultural environment
5. Having different perspectives on a subject and being able to make a multi-dimensional research about it
