Mühendislik mesleği ve gemi makineleri işletme mühendisliğinin mühendislik alanı içerisindeki yeri. Denizcilik endüstrisinin yapısı ve anahtar denizcilik paydaşları. Ticaret gemilerininsınıflandırılması ve özellikleri. Gemi makinelerinin sınıflandırılması ve gemi üzerindeki temel fonksiyonları. Gemi makineleri işletme mühendisinin sahip olması gereken yetkinlikler.Gemi makineleri işletme mühendisinin görev, yetki ve sorumlulukları. Mühendislik Etiği ilkeleri ve kanunları.
